Result review & Appeals

If not satisfied, candidates may request a review of their results through the exam centre. The review fee may vary by centre and will be notified directly. The review process may include re-marking of Speaking/Writing or re-checking of Listening/Reading. A review will not lower the original score; if the level is raised, the review fee will be refunded.

If a technical error or an issue with exam content is found, candidates may receive a refund of the review fee, a refund of the exam fee, or a free resit.

If still not satisfied after a review, candidates may submit an appeal through the exam centre (only after completing the review process). All appeals are considered by the University of Oxford, and the University's decision is final. The appeals process only examines whether the exam was administered in accordance with regulations and does not include re-marking of the exam.
